Lot 125: lightly binsoiled labels
Opened by Burkard Bovensiepen of Alpina in Munich, October 2000, this was medium lemon-gold, with complex, citrus and smokey aromas. It had intnese, lean, fruit concentration, like a beam running through it from start to finish. This is a great wine, whose delicate, lemony acidity gives it real grip, allied to wonderful length. It is one of the last, old-vine Musigny blancs to have been made, before the vineyard was torn up for replanting. AH
