A note on condition of the younger Guigal single-vineyard wines: we frequently encounter signs of seepage in younger Guigal wines which we attribute to overfilling. This makes it more likely that seepage will occur in transport (this is also common to the top wines of Leroy from this period). Corrosion or damage to capsules can also result. The fills remain very high and the condition of the wines should still be excellent.
