Cockburn--Vintage 1912
Three-part moulded bottles. Lead calsules clearly embossed "Cockburn 1912 Port"
Levels: one bottom neck and three very top shoulder; with Christie's slip labels; signs of seepage

Provenance: the cellar of a country house in Berkshire.

Many notes, all consistently good, the most recent at a Christie's Wine Department Christmas Dinner in 1993 : pale tawny in colour; showing some age, not suprisingly, on the nose, high toned, ethereal; drying out yet with a curiously sweet finish. A delicious old drink and an unmissable experience for all of us. MB
4 bottles per lot
