A Meissen hausmalerei squat baluster teapot and cover
Circa 1725, the decoration slightly later, lustrous iron-red three line marks to base and cover
With gilt loop handle with foliate terminals and curved spout with mask terminal, decorated in Eisenrot at Augsburg with two sportsmen duck shooting with a dog and a heron in a continuous rocky river landscape between gilt borders with pendant gilt scrolls, the domed cover with two figures in a river landscape and gilt button finial, the spout with a contemporary silver-gilt hinged mount with chain attachment (extended crack across base and up one side of body, minute chip to footrim and two minute chips to inside flange of cover, slight chipping to inside rim of cover and footrim, chipping to edge and top of finial, some very slight rubbing to gilding of rims, handle and base of spout)
