A Meissen Chinoiserie scent-bottle and a silver-gilt stopper
Circa 1725, the stopper perhaps later
Formed as a pilgrim flask with two female mask-head handles, painted in the manner of J.G. Höroldt with Oriental half-figures, one side with two figures at a table taking tea, the other with a figure holding a basket of utensils and another with a fan, above a band of moulded gilt gadroons, the gadrooned neck alternately gilt and painted with geometric iron-red ornament (minute chip to rim below mount and slight wear to gilding)
