Lot 781 level: very top shoulder; soiled label. Lot 782 level: into neck; corroded capsule. Both with château labels and capsules
Provenance: Chateau Latour sale at Christie's 16 June 1977 (see Latour 1863).
Tasting note: a bottle from the château tasted exactly 100 years
after the vintage, impressively deep; sweet, faultless bouquet; excellent flavour. Still dry and tannic. MB
