Provenance: a major sale for a senior member of the Rothschild family, of Lafite and other top Bordeaux from their extensive private cellar in Paris, sold at Christie's, 24 June 1976.
The best year between 1878 and 1893. A half size crop due to mildew. Lafite 1887 palish in colour, soft, delicate but very appealing. MB
