Levels: one upper mid and one mid shoulder; very binsoiled label, 'Pape-Clément 1893'; corroded capsules; bottled by H.B. Fearon Block & Co, with Pfüngst labels
Original capsule embossed "C. Cinto Propr." Full body labels at time of sale and slip labels "Shipped by Pfungst Lacey, Bordeaux, London House J. L. Pfüngst & Co, 23 Crutched Friars, EC" - the heart of London wine shippers until the mid 1950's.

Provenance: Sir John Thompson, Woodperry House.

Note made at pre-sale tasting (December 1976): level top shoulder, very good cork. Medium pale, lovely colour; pleasant, gentle, cedary bouquet and flavour. Not tasted since. MB
