A Meissen model of a parrot
Circa 1770, blue crossed swords and dot mark
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, with its wings slightly outstretched and with its head turned to the right, with green head, neck and back, ochre breast and underside of wings, the top of its wings with ochre and blue feathers and with a long red and green tail and striped black and grey legs and feet, perched on a green washed tree-stump applied with two black cherries, on a rockwork base (restoration to tail and to part of left wing, cracked through base and restored)
