I only tasted this wine once, at James Halliday's home in Yarra Valley over 5 years ago, when the subtle, delicious spiciness of finest new oak barrels was still perceptible, allied to rich, sweet-scented, aging Pinot aromas. The palate was a marvel - supple yet dense, mouth-coating, and seamless in its smoothness and power. AH
