Not knowing it, I asked Jean Chauvenet about this wine, to which he replied : "It has opened up and is nearly ready, but would benefit from another 2 - 3 years bottle-age. Should it be decanted ? Well, there is some deposit, but Burgundies are not Barolos. Open it 2 hours in advance and just pour it gently." AH
