A Meissen figure of Pulchinella Circa 1742, traces of blue crossed swords mark
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, the hunch-backed figure with his left leg and right arm raised and holding a sausage with a slap-stick in his left hand, in gilt-edged conical hat, his jacket with white collar and cuffs, painted with chequered chevron-ornament and playing cards on a pink ground, white trousers and black shoes with iron-red rosettes, before a tree-stump on a circular pad base applied with a blue flower and foliage (restoration to hat, through neck and to fingers of right hand and sausage)
