A Ludwigsburg miniature group of cobblers
Circa 1765, blue interlaced C mark
From the Carnaval de Venise perhaps modelled by Jean Jacques Louis, as a cobbler mending the heel of a shoe, seated before his workbench applied with three shoes, a last, pincers and a hammer, his assistant tending a lady seated and with her right foot raised on a rectangular green and grey base (some restoration to workbench, seated cobbler's right arm and object in kneeling cobbler's hand)
