A Chinese root wood brushpot
18th Century
naturally formed with flaring neck and pierced work to the sides, of a dark brown tone -- 65/8in. (16.7cm.) high; another root wood brushpot of irregular form, with flaring lip and pierced branch, the grain of tightly striated pattern -- 7in. (17.8cm.) high; and another gnarled root wood brushpot, of irregular form and pierced work, the dark brown tone with tight striations and scattered ghost heads -- 5in. (12.6cm.) high, (old wear).
