carved and pierced in high relief with a shaped central panel of figures before pavilions, all within flower sprays on a geometric ground, to the reverse a panel in the form of a baluster vase carved with figures amid a garden scene; a Cantonese ivory card case carved with figures before pavilions within shaped panels, one in the form of a holy cross; and a Chinese wooden card case carved in high relief with figures among pavilions, trees and flowers -- 4½in. (11cms) long max, (one with splits to the cover).
