A Chinese mutton fat jade ewer

of flattened globular section with pierced guei dragon handle and raised foot incised with scrolling motifs -- 4¾in. (11.8in.) high; a shaped ivory handled mirror, carved and pierced with birds among flowers issuing from rock-work, the reverse reserved with a hardstone design of squirrels amid a fruiting tree -- 11in. (28cms) long; a mottled white jade convex oval plaque carved in relief with Liu Hai -- 4in. (10.3cms) long; a small mottled jade ovoid waterpot -- 1¾in. (4.3cms) high; and a mottled jade circular dish with short everted rim, carved to the centre with a lotus flowerhead the reverse with a carved three character inscription -- 7¾in. (19.7cms) diam, (old wear). (5)
