A selection of Chinese jade carvings
17th/18th century
comprising a partly calcified mottled celadon and russet jade carving of a Buddhistic lion seated upon cloud scrolls, its head turned behind -- 2¾in. (7cms) high; a mottled cream and brown jade carving of a recumbent ram with lingzhi sprays in its mouth -- 2in. (5cms) long; a celadon and russet jade pendant modelled as a bird -- 21/8in. (5.5cms) long; and a black and celadon jade carving of a recumbent rabbit -- 1½in. (3.8cms) long.
