A famille rose broad oviform bottle vase
second half of the 19th Century
with short neck and slightly everted rim, painted with a dignitary crossing a bridge followed by three grooms, one leading his horse, the party walking towards a thatched pavilion with a further figure seated at a table practising calligraphy, all in a mountainous pine strewn landscape -- 10in. (25.4cm.) high; and a pair of famille verte biscuit fan-shaped dishes painted with Buddhistic lions and cubs within prunus blossom borders -- 6¾in. (17cms) wide max, Kangxi.
