A George III Old Sheffield Plate four-light candelabra
unmarked, attributed to Matthew Boulton, circa 1790
On four ball feet and stepped square base, with fluted column stem and corinthian capital socket, with four detachable reeded scroll branches each terminating in plain circular drip-pan and vase-shaped socket with detachable plain circular nozzle, with central pineapple finial, the base engraved with a crest within motto
30in. (76cm.) high
The crest is that of Vernon probably for Henry Vernon Esq., (1748-1814) of Hilton Park
