Portrait of the artist's son Pierre, in profile to the left, bust length

Another portrait of Pierre at about the same age was sold in Paris on 21 June 2000, lot 107. A portrait of Alexis Vollon's wife Mathilde dated 1895 was sold at Christie's South Kensington, 6 April 2000, lot 169. Alexis was the son of the painter Antoine Vollon (1833-1900).
