Each piece painted with a panormaic view of a section of the Canton waterfront showing warehouses on docks along the Pearl River with the City walls behind them and visible continuing around up in the hills, the Mohammedan Tower shown in the center of the city and to the right the famous Five-Stage Watchtower, while the Flowery Pagoda can be seen to the left, all contained within elaborate borders of butterflies, scale, waveband and trellis patterns
