Circa 1715 and 1720
The first with the arms of Somers, circa 1715, the green coat against large feathery scrollwork and with the crest of Walker (sic) displayed four times around the rim, the second with the arms of Chester, circa 1720, in enamels, gilt and silvering with a border of scrolling acanthus and strapwork

The first made for John Somers, Lord Chancellor, made Lord Somers of Evesham (d.1716) but erroneously decorated with the crest of his friend Dr. William Walker, whose own service had come from China three years earlier. (Cf. D.S. Howard, op. cit., p. 177)
