Part 18th century
The square brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing a matted centre with seconds ring and date aperture, signed Tho. Phippard, Poole Hall, within female mask spandrels, the hood with column and pilaster uprights to the four angles below the stepped cornice, the trunk with arched and boxwood strung door flanked by reeded canted angles, on a stepped plinth with bracket feet, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement striking a bell, restoration and adaptations
