Of 'Dolphin Ewer' form, the shell-shaped boat with lamprey handle, a frog moulded below the spout, the faring foot with stiff leaf tips below a shell and foliate scrolls, painted with loose bouquets, the interior rim with iron-red lin, scallop and beaded bands, 35/8in. (9.2cm.) wide overall; together with a Liverpool (Richard Chaffers & Co.) blue and white chinoiserie coffee-cup, 1755-1756, blue workman's mark, painted with a willow tree in a hilly landscape beside a bridge, and two Bristol coffee-cups, circa 1770, blue X marks, the second also inscribed 19, one painted in blue with flower sprays, the interior rim with fretwork, the second fluted and enameled in shades of green with scattered sprigs beneath a laurel wreath
