A GROUP OF ENGLISH IMARI WARES

Including a Coalport dessert plate, teacup and saucer and a bourdaloue painted with a variation on the 'Japan' pattern with quatrefoil cartouches of a bird perched in flowering branches reserved on the blue ground further gilt with leaves and alternate with panels of flowering branches, 83/8in. (21.3cm.) diam., the plate, 10in. (25.4cm.) long, the bourdaloue; and a Swansea Imari lozenge-shaped dish, 1814-1822, impressed uppercase mark, painted with a large central iron-red blossom enriched in gilt and radiating blue leaves, the shaped border with shell scrolls at each angle extending into a band edging the rim, similar foliate scrolls below, 11½in.
