According to the factory's records, in 1800 a 12 inch 'Dragon in Compartments' punch bowl such as the present example would have sold for (pounds) 3 )s Od. See Geoffrey A. Godden, Chamberlain-Worcester Porcelain 1788-1852, London, 1982, no. 260 for a smaller example.
