A PAIR OF CHELSEA KIDNEY-SHAPED PLATES AND A CHELSEA FEATHER-RIM PLATE
1760-1765, iron-red and brown anchor marks to the dishes, gold anchor mark to the plate
The kidney-shaped dishes painted with cut fruit and vegetables, one with papaya, quince, cherries, plums, currants and scattered insects, the other with three cucumbers, currants, cherries, a moth and similar insects, brown line rims, 10¾in. (27.3cm.) wide; the dessert plate similarly painted within a moulded feather rim enriched in turquoise and gilt, 8¼in. (21cm.) diam. (3)
