A COALPORT BLUE AND GILT PART DESSERT SERVICE
Circa 1815
The rim with a band of underglaze blue gilt with Greek key pattern between gilt lines and radiating into the basin stiff variagated leaf tips, one side shaded, the other side burnished, comprising:
Two footed circular compotes, 6in. (15.2cm.) high; 93/8in. (23.8cm.) diam.
Four low footed cake stands, 93/8in. (23.8cm.) diam.
Two oval sauce-tureens and covers, 71/8in. (18.1cm.) wide overall
Two circular footed sugar-bowls, covers and stands, 7in. (17.8cm.) diam., the stands
Two square dishes, 8¼in. (21cm.) square
Four shell-shaped dishes, 8¼in. (21cm.) wide
Four lozenge-shaped dishes, 11in. (28cm.) long
Thirty-six dessert plates, 8in. (20.3cm.) diam. (58)
