In the manner of Gillows, circa 1800, adapted in the late 19th/early 20th century, the crossbanding and marquetry later
The satinwood-banded breakfronted top with rounded returns, inlaid with a central fan to the back edge and with medallion fans atop each outset rounded reeded angle, with central banded frieze drawer above fan-inlaid spandrels to the kneehole, flanked to each side by a banded hinged door, the tapering reeded legs on long toupie feet, inscribed in yellow chalk 7165/439, probabaly originally fitted and now with later sides
