FOUR POLYCHROME-PAINTED CAST-IRON BANKS
Manufactured by J. & E. Stevens Co., Cromwell, Connecticut; patented by John Hall, Watertown, Massachusetts, circa 1869
Each with a square roof with domed and hinged cupola, two opening to reveal a painted and seated monkey, all above a conforming case, the sides with open grillwork, the front with HALL'S EXCELSIOR BANK over two pierced windows and door, all on a conforming base with projecting front steps, painted variously in shades of black, yellow, white, red and green
