The arched overupholstered back, outcurved arms, and loose-cushion seat covered with close-nailed red leather, with a wide lyre-shaped reeded front, on round tapering reeded legs on brass caps and casters (2)

A single beechwood example of this pattern was sold at Christie's New York, British Interior Sale Jan 25/26, 2000, lot 631

A set of four Regency chairs, of similar form, were supplied by Gillows for the two libraries at Hackwood Park.
