A Japanese lacquer mirror stand
19th century
constructed on a large square chest with two drawers supporting a detachable mirror stand which fits into two slots on the top of the drawer chest, lacquered overall in hiramakie and nashiji with scrolling foliage and leafy roundels, the mirror stand inset at the middle-top and bottom with similar leafy metal roundels and fitted with incised metal terminals, the drawer handles with similar decoration and interior in nashiji, the mirror cast on one side with turtles amongst waves and calligraphy to the left and a bamboo bound handle -- 27in. (68.5cm.) high overall. (2)

An initial transfer and administrative charge of £18.50 per lot per day will be payable to Cadogan Tate. These charges are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
