19th Century
decorated in silver and gilt, the top part decorated in relief with birds in flight above flowering branches and a meandering stream, the sides decorated with flowerheads among geometric designs -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) diam, rectangular gilt sealmark; a Japanese heptagonal metal box applied with bronze fuchi and shaped panels, decorated in gilt, silver and copper -- 33/8in. (8.6cm.) wide; and a Japanese silvered bronze rectangular box decorated in relief with two actors, and with birds and butterflies among flowers and leaves -- 2½in. (6.5cm.) wide, (old rubbing and wear).
