A GEORGE III CREAM AND POLYCHROME-PAINTED COMMODE
Late 18th Century, the polychrome decoration 19th century and probably embellishing 18th century painting
The demilune top painted with a floral and rose clasp to the center, above a frieze decorated with scrolling vines and a conforming case with central hinged door enclosing a shelved interior, the door and the two flanking returns decorated with cut-cornered panels and central oval reserves with floral clasps, on later splayed bracket feet
