Walnut Ridge specialises in red wine with a solid focus on Pinot Noir which is uniquely suited to the Martinborough region. However upon first arriving in the region Bill Brink, the owner, was informed that there was to many vineyards in the region and so he planted Walnut trees instead. However these refused to grow and vines were planted as a reult. The end product are superb wines showing regional character and flavour.
