Provenance
The engraved initials are those of Margaret Tonnele Hall, a great aunt of Eleanor Roosevelt and the mother of Susan Ludlow Parish, Eleanor Roosevelt's cousin and godmother. Eleanor Roosevelt and Franklin D. Roosevelt were married in her twin house no. 6 and no. 8 East 76th Street in 1905.
