Eleanor Roosevelt used all of the flatware at Val-Kill.
The fish service was a wedding present from John A. Roosevelt I to Eleanor and Franklin D. Roosevelt. John A. Roosevelt was Franklin D. Roosevelt's uncle, the younger brother of his father. The fish service is listed in Eleanor Roosevelt's Wedding Present Book as no. 324.
