A PAIR OF GEORGE I WALNUT SIDE CHAIRS
Circa 1730, all legs cut at midsection and probably replaced
Each yoke-form crestrail with re-entrant corners above a solid vasiform splat and cream-ground blue leaf-patterned cotton upholstered drop-in trapezoidal seat, the plain apron with lapetted center, the cabriole legs headed by scrolled and acanthus-carved angles and with pad feet, stamped VIIII, with indistinct chalk inscriptions (2)
