A LOUIS XVI MAHOGANY TRIC TRAC TABLE**
Late 18th century, the drawers originally opened to opposite sides of the case and one now reversed
The removable rectangular banded tooled brown leather top with three- quarter gallery reversing to a green felt-lined playing surface, and enclosing reveal a sunken backgammon well inlaid with ivory and green-stained ivory markers, one side of the panelled frieze with short drawers fitted with compartments for playing chips to either side of the kneehole, on turned collared tapering legs with brass caps and sunken ball casters, inscribed in black ink DD, the casters probably associated, previously further mounted, one drawer with later removable divides
29½in. (75cm.) high, 45½in. (115.5cm.) wide, 24½in. (62cm.) deep
