A SET OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY DINING-CHAIRS
Five circa 1765, one of a later date
Each with molded serpentine crestrail with rocaille C-scrolls to each eared corner and an acanthus clasp to the center, above a pierced vertical vasiform splat between molded stiles and a yellow floral-patterned silk damask trapezoidal drop-in seat, on square legs with chamfered edge joined by an H-stretcher, the 18th century chairs stamped with Roman numerals, with the black ink inscription 056 (6)
