A Vernis Martin style eight day longcase clock, late 19th century
The hood, trunk and plinth each of bombé outline, decorated on a gilt ground, the door to the trunk and the plinth depicting Venus and Cupid and cherubs, within further cherubs, floral urns and garlands to the sides, the angles mounted in gilt bronze cast with rocaille, glazed pendulum aperture to the door, the associated Comtoise dial and movement with twin train weight driven movement with anchor escapement, strike on gong, the white enamel convex dial with Roman chapters within cartouches and with inner concentric calendar ring; with two lead weights, pendulum and winder; associated, 19th century

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate on the Friday following the sale and every weekday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
