A North European carved oak buffet, late 19th/early 20th century
with a trailing leaf carved frieze and enclosed by a pair of doors, profusely carved with foliage and animals and centred with projecting busts, the canted sides similarly carved and flanked by projecting pilasters surmounted by various grotesque creatures, on angled square section supports with stepped moulded plinth and linen fold back panels, on bun feet -- 49½in. (126cm.) wide, 55in. (140cm.) high, 18½in. (47cm.) deep
