A SUITE OF IMPORTANT RUBY AND DIAMOND JEWELLERY
Comprising a necklace, the front set with nine oval-cut rubies in a pavé-set diamond plaque surround with baguette-cut trim to the circular and baguette-cut backchain; a bracelet, pair of ear clips and ring en suite, necklace 38.0 cm., bracelet 18.0 cm.
With certificate 36651 dated 4 January 2001 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the rubies are of Burmese origin; two show no indication of thermal enhancement and fifteen show indications of thermal enhancement and artificial glassy residues in fissures. Extent of enhancement: moderate (4)
