painted with a classical maiden, a warrior to her side before two femail attendants, within a raised-gilt roundel below alternate chocolate-brown ovolos and dark-blue-shaped sections, enriched with raised-gilt scrolling foliage, reserved on a pale-pink ground below a claret-ground border with further gilt ornament, late 19th century (some rubbing to gilding) -- 37cm. diam.
