No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis. On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.

A SIMILAR CHAIR IS ILLUSTRATED IN DR. B COTTON THE ENGLISH REGIONAL CHAIR, WOODBRIDGE, 1990, PAGE 370, FIGURE NW182 AND IS STAMPED BY IT'S MAKER C. LEICESTER OF MACCLESFIELD (FL.1816-60). THE CHAIRS IN THIS LOT CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO THIS MAKER DUE TO THE DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF THE MODEL, INCLUDING THE USE OF MULTIPLE TURNED BARS, THE FRONT LEGS TERMINATING IN A TOE AND MOST SIGNIFICANTLY THE TWIN CURVED FRONT STRETCHERS.
