No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis. THESE CHAIRS ARE VERY MUCH IN THE STYLE OF JOHN PRIOR (1761-1846), CHAIRMAKER OF UXBRIDGE, MIDDLESEX. A VERY SIMILAR PAIR OF ARMCHAIRS, THOUGH IN YEW AND ELM, WERE SOLD IN THESE ROOMS ON 25 FEBRUARY, 1998, LOTS 742 AND 743, BEARING THE STAMP I. PRIOR, UXBRIDGE.
