1911 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER GHOST LIMOUSINE
A SCRATCH-BUILT CHILD'S ELECTRIC CAR
With an overall length of eight feet, this entrancing scratch-built electric car is based on a 1911 Silver Ghost with unusual tulip-bodied limousine coachwork by Lawton of Liverpool.
It is powered by a 24 volt electric motor with variable control giving forward and reverse speeds. Braking is by cable to the front wheels and by motor brake to the rear. Steering is by rack and pinion. There is a chauffeur's partition with folding seat, and an opening driver's door. The windscreen can be opened, as can the roof, complete with luggage rack.
Two passenger doors with opening window are provided to the rear compartment whilst the buttoned upholstery is finished in leaf patterned plum material. Six working brass electric lamps of the correct style are fitted.
Lovingly detailed and with just the right proportions, this model is a credit to its creator and would delight any child from six to sixty years of age! We recommend close inspection.
