Lot Essay

This coin has traditionally been traced back to the Tutet sale. In his annotated copy of the Tyssen catalogue, however, J B Bergne notes 'Mr Hodsol gave 5.12.0 for this coin at a Mr Church's Sale in 1785. It is extremely fine'.
