Lot Essay

Gorham introduced a line of copper wares in 1881. Production numbers were small and this line was expensive due to the hand labour involved. The appeal was the rich colours of the copper ranging from warm reds to deep chocolate browns. Production ended in 1885. For more information please refer to Charles H. Carpenter Gorham Silver, 1982.
