Lot Essay

Abraham Soloman was trading at 23 Little Queen Street in 1839 as a furniture broker. A writing table bearing the same stamp as the present lot is illustrated in Christopher Gilbert Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture, Furniture History Society and W.S Maney and Son Ltd, 1996, pp 433
